Doctorate Admission Process
Click here to read about the new version of the GRE coming in early Fall 2011.
- To begin the Admission process, send copies of your graduate transcripts, GRE scores, and CAAP or GRE writing assessment scores. As soon as your transcripts are received, they will be evaluated. A letter will follow indicating any additional information needed.
- Admission to the Doctoral Program is based on the fulfillment of the following Criteria:
| |
Criterion 1 |
Graduate Record Examination - Points earned in the verbal and quantitative subtests will be added to give a GRE rating. |
| |
Criterion 2 |
Collegiate Assessment of Academic Proficiency (CAAP) - Writing Test - No points will be awarded for a CAAP rating less than 3.0. If the current version of the GRE is used, the score on the Analytical Writing section, if 3.0 or higher, can be used to satisfy Criterion 2. |
| |
Criterion 3 |
Grade Point Average - A minimum of 3.25 GPA on all graduate work is required. |
| |
Criterion 4 |
Portfolio/Structured Interview - Each student is required to develop a Portfolio and submit it to the coordinator of the Doctoral Program. After the Graduate Committee has reviewed the Portfolio, an Interview may be scheduled. |
|
For additional details on admission, you can refer to the 2007 - 2008 Graduate Catalog.
EdD Student Handbook - All students must sign the Student Contract and fax to 662-846-4869. Click here for the contract.
